Hi and welcome to my new Personal Development series called ‘Let’s talk about…’!
In this series I’ll be covering little personal growth tips that you can implement straight away.
I don’t think that personal growth has to be dramatic overnight changes, growth is not linear, it’s messy and complicated and takes many turns, so don’t be too hard on yourself, but also don’t be so quick to give up!

Why should I care about Personal Development?
Personal Development sounds like a scary, energy-intensive long journey that only few people chose to do, but… you’re probably already on your own journey right now!
That is literally all it is, just growing as an individual. I like to think of it as ‘self-care but with a goal’, it requires a little more focus, but essentially it’s the same thing. The best investment you can make is in yourself, so put your energy into becoming the best version of yourself, and you’re not going to regret it!
There are lots of different ways to get started on your development journey, so to get started check out this post.
A great, relatively low cost way to learn and grow is through books! I love reading and I read for around 20 minutes every morning and evening during the week, meaning I can get through books pretty fast. These are my favourite non-fiction books that I’ve read so far – I will be continually adding to this list!
- The Road Less Travelled – M. Scott Peck
- Daring Greatly – Brené Brown
- The Miracle Morning – Hal Elrod
- Why I’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race – Reni Eddo-Lodge
- Rejection Proof – Jia Jiang
Have a non-fiction book that you recommend/want me to check out? Let me know!
